About the job
Join Viktor, your AI coworker that integrates seamlessly with Slack and Microsoft Teams, connecting to a multitude of tools to drive real results for various industries including finance, marketing, operations, and engineering. We are on a mission to create a product that will revolutionize the SaaS landscape by replacing multiple tools with a single, efficient teammate.
Our team is compact yet ambitious, and we are looking for a forward-thinking individual.
The Short Version
As our first Growth Analytics Engineer, you will be the custodian of data integrity. Your responsibilities will include writing SQL queries, constructing data pipelines, and developing insightful dashboards that the entire team relies on. You are proactive, seeking answers rather than waiting for direction, embodying the dual role of both engineer and analyst.
What's Actually Going On Here
Currently, critical business decisions regarding retention, pricing strategies, channel optimization, and unit economics are made using individually crafted spreadsheets. While this approach has served us well thus far, it’s becoming clear that as we scale, we need a dedicated analytics layer owned by a single expert.
In this role, you will lay the groundwork as our inaugural Growth Analytics Engineer, tasked with establishing the entire analytics infrastructure from data warehousing to dashboards. You will report directly to the co-founders, playing an integral role in our growth trajectory.
What You'll Actually Do
Manage the ClickHouse data warehouse comprehensively, overseeing schema design, data ingestion, backfill processes, and performance optimizations. You will have autonomy over its structure and content.
Develop and sustain data pipelines for our key data sources including Postgres, Stripe, Slack, and advertising platforms. You will not only create these pipelines but also ensure their reliability.
Lead the Business Intelligence layer by creating and maintaining Hex dashboards tailored for growth, finance, support, and product insights. You will also be responsible for regularly reviewing and optimizing these dashboards to prevent clutter.
Proactively address fundamental business queries such as retention cohorts, credit and unit economics, channel attribution, churn rates, and the effects of pricing changes. You will bring insights to the team as they arise from the data.
Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure that we are promptly informed of any concerning metric changes, rather than relying on customer feedback.
Collaborate closely with co-founders and various leaders throughout the organization. Your analyses will inform decisions across sales, growth, and strategy, necessitating quick prioritization and execution of tasks, while confidently challenging misaligned inquiries.
