Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years of leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of foundry operations (melting, molding, finishing, or pipe production) is preferred but not mandatory. Education in an engineering field is advantageous but not required. Must demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality; flexible to work assigned shifts, including 1st and 2nd shifts as necessary. Ability to consistently wear required PPE and comply with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Act as a champion for workplace safety by enforcing personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction, coaching, and development for hourly team members to meet daily standards for safety, training, quality, culture, and production.
  • Production Management: Strategically plan, prioritize, and coordinate production activities to fulfill schedule commitments and optimize efficiency while managing labor costs.
  • Operations Oversight: Supervise production across melting, molding, finishing, and pipe operations, ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation, troubleshooting issues, and recommending process improvements for enhanced productivity and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold production and quality standards, suggesting and implementing changes to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams to inspect, repair, and maintain machinery to maximize operational uptime and minimize interruptions.
  • Administrative Duties: Monitor and authorize team members’ time in the payroll system and maintain accurate production logs and operational records.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, performing additional duties as assigned by leadership.
