Position Overview:
The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) acts as a vital strategic advisor and mentor to a portfolio of 20–25 franchise locations. This role is pivotal in providing operational guidance, financial coaching, aligning sales and marketing efforts, offering training support, conducting sourcing and pricing analysis, and implementing process improvements to enhance performance and ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Perform site audits to ensure compliance with brand standards and operational protocols.
- Analyze profitability, overhead costs, and operational efficiencies to bolster margins.
- Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate operational health across assigned locations.
Franchisee Coaching & Business Support:
- Deliver consistent coaching on staffing, financial management, workflow optimization, and revenue enhancement.
- Establish a structured meeting schedule: three times weekly for new franchisees and bi-weekly for established franchisees.
- Facilitate Level 10 Meetings to assess KPIs, prioritize tasks, address issues, and propose solutions.
- Diagnose root causes of operational challenges, formulate data-driven action plans, and spearhead execution for tangible improvement.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting & KPIs:
- Examine franchisee financial statements to pinpoint gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide annual budget guidance and assist franchisees in setting achievable revenue, profit, and operational targets.
- Develop, standardize, and implement system-wide KPIs to track franchisee performance.
- Propose strategies for reducing overhead and optimizing costs.
- Assist franchisees in sourcing materials and supplies to ensure alignment with budget objectives.
- Review pricing structures and adjust margins based on seasonal fluctuations and demand spikes.
Process Improvement & SOP Implementation:
- Design, refine, and enforce standardized SOPs to guarantee consistent and efficient operations.
- Lead the problem-solving process from assessment through to execution, ensuring solutions are effective and sustainable.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and introduce innovative tools and strategies.
