Opportunity Overview:

Each project presents unique tasks, and contributors may be involved in:

  • Designing original materials engineering problems that mimic real-world engineering workflows;
  • Creating problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Ensuring that problems are computationally complex and require numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Developing problems related to system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Formulating problems based on authentic research challenges or practical engineering applications;
  • Validating solutions using Python with established engineering libraries;
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.

Desired Qualifications:

This opportunity is ideal for material scientists and engineers with Python experience open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Material Science or a related field;
