Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be involved in tasks such as:
- Designing original computational statistics problems that reflect real mathematical research workflows;
- Creating Python programming challenges utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy;
- Ensuring problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes;
- Generating problems that require complex reasoning in fields like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Formulating challenges based on genuine research issues or practical applications in mathematics;
- Validating solutions using Python with standard mathematical libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct solutions.
Qualifications
This role is perfect for statistics professionals with experience in Python who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Statistics or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, or SciPy is also valuable;
- Over 2 years of professional experience in applied work, research, or teaching;
- Strong written English skills (C1+ proficiency);
- Professional certifications such as CMME, SAS Certifications, or CAP and involvement in international or applied projects are advantageous.

Compensation
