Opportunity Overview
Each project encompasses unique tasks, and contributors may be involved in the following activities:
- Crafting original computational statistics problems that emulate authentic mathematical research workflows;
- Formulating problems that necessitate Python programming solutions (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Designing computationally intensive problems that cannot be resolved manually within reasonable timeframes (days/weeks);
- Creating problems that require intricate reasoning chains in fields like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Basing problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications in mathematics;
- Validating solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.
Qualifications We Seek
This role is ideally suited for statistics specialists with Python experience, seeking part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Statistics or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or knowledge of any programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience;
- Strong written English skills (C1+);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
For this project, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, varying based on project requirements. This estimate is not a guaranteed workload and only applies while the project is active.
Compensation Details
Contributors can earn up to $50 per hour equivalent, based on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their specific requirements.
