About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English along with your English proficiency level.
At Mindrift, we bridge the gap between talented specialists and exciting project-based AI opportunities with leading technology firms, focusing on the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. Please note that this is a project-based role, not a permanent position.
Opportunity Overview
While each project presents its own unique challenges, contributors may engage in the following tasks:
- Design innovative computational data science challenges that replicate real-world analytical processes across various sectors such as telecom, finance, government, e-commerce, and healthcare.
- Develop problems that necessitate Python programming for resolution, utilizing libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Sklearn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Ensure that the problems are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually within practical time limits (days or weeks).
- Create tasks requiring complex reasoning chains in areas such as data processing, statistical analysis, feature engineering, predictive modeling, and insight extraction.
- Design deterministic problems with consistent answers: avoid stochastic factors or necessitate fixed random seeds for exact reproducibility.
- Base the challenges on actual business scenarios: customer analytics, risk evaluation, fraud detection, forecasting, optimization, and operational efficiencies.
- Construct comprehensive problems that encompass the entire data science workflow (data ingestion → cleaning → exploratory data analysis → modeling → validation → deployment considerations).
- Incorporate scenarios involving big data processing that require scalable computational methodologies.
- Validate solutions using Python along with standard data science libraries and statistical techniques.
- Clearly document problem statements with realistic business contexts and provide verified correct solutions.
Desired Qualifications
This role is ideal for data science experts with a background in Python who are interested in part-time, project-based work. Ideal candidates will possess:
- 5+ years of practical data science experience with demonstrated impact on business outcomes.
- A portfolio of completed projects and publications that showcase effective problem-solving in real-world scenarios.
- Proficient Python programming skills for data science (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, statsmodels).
- A strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning, including a deep understanding of relevant algorithms, methods, and their applications.
- Expertise in SQL and database operations for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases).
- An understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment processes.
- Knowledge of cutting-edge frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain).
- Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
