Mindrift connects talented specialists with exciting project-based AI opportunities in collaboration with leading technology firms, focusing on the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. Please note that participation is project-based and does not entail permanent employment.
What this opportunity entails:
- Designing innovative computational data science challenges that mimic real-world analytical workflows across various sectors, including telecommunications, finance, government, e-commerce, and healthcare.
- Creating problem sets that necessitate Python programming skills for resolution, employing libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Sklearn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Ensuring that the problems presented are computationally demanding and cannot be addressed manually within reasonable timeframes (days to weeks).
- Developing tasks that require complex reasoning sequences in areas like data processing, statistical analysis, feature engineering, predictive modeling, and insight extraction.
- Formulating deterministic challenges that yield reproducible results, avoiding stochastic components or requiring fixed random seeds for precise replication.
- Grounding problems in authentic business circumstances, such as customer analytics, risk assessment, fraud detection, forecasting, optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Crafting end-to-end problems that encompass the entire data science pipeline (data ingestion → cleaning → exploratory data analysis → modeling → validation → deployment considerations).
- Incorporating scenarios that involve big data processing, requiring scalable computational strategies.
- Verifying solutions with Python, utilizing standard data science libraries and statistical techniques.
- Clearly documenting problem statements with credible business contexts and delivering verified correct answers.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This opportunity is tailored for data science professionals with extensive experience in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. We are particularly looking for contributors who possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on data science experience with demonstrated business impact.
- A portfolio showcasing completed projects and publications that highlight real-world problem-solving skills.
- Proficient Python programming capabilities for data science (including pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, statsmodels).
- A strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning, with an in-depth understanding of algorithms, methods, and their practical applications.
- Expertise in SQL and database operations for effective data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases).
- An understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
- Experience with contemporary frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain).
- Strong English written communication skills (C1+ level).
Application Process:
Apply → Pass qualification(s) → Join a project → Complete tasks → Get compensated.
