Role Overview:

This role encompasses a variety of unique tasks per project, including:

  • Crafting original computational engineering challenges that mirror actual engineering workflows;
  • Formulating problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Ensuring problems are computationally demanding and involve numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Designing problems related to system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Creating scenarios inspired by genuine research challenges or practical applications from the engineering field;
  • Verifying solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries;
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing accurate verified solutions.

Ideal Candidate:

This opportunity is suited for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Candidates should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or knowledge of any programming language is acceptable;
  • At least 2 years of professional experience, encompassing applied, research, or teaching roles;
  • A strong understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Excellent written English proficiency (C1+);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
