Mindrift connects talented professionals with project-based AI opportunities for top tech companies, focusing on the evaluation, testing, and enhancement of AI systems. This is a project-based engagement rather than permanent employment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Each project will involve unique challenges, with contributors expected to:
- Craft original computational engineering challenges that reflect real-world engineering workflows;
- Design problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensure challenges are computationally demanding and require numerical methods or iterative approaches;
- Formulate problems centered around system design, optimization, and analytical techniques;
- Base scenarios on actual research issues or practical engineering applications;
- Verify solutions using Python with recognized engineering libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified accurate solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; equivalent experience in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or Stata is acceptable;
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles;
- Familiarity with practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong command of written English (C1+ level);
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
How the Process Works:
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Get compensated.
Project Expectations:
During active phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on project needs. This is an estimation and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
On this project, contributors can earn up to $69 per hour, depending on their contribution level and pace. Compensation varies by project based on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their specific requirements.
