Please note that participation is limited to project-based engagements, rather than permanent positions.
Overview of the Role
Each project entails distinct responsibilities, and contributors can expect to:
- Craft innovative computational engineering problems that mimic authentic engineering workflows;
- Develop challenges that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensure the problems are computationally demanding and employ numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Formulate issues related to system design, optimization, and performance analysis;
- Base challenges on real-world research problems or applicable engineering scenarios;
- Validate solutions using Python along with conventional engineering libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is particularly well-suited for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, temporary projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience: this may include applied work, research, or teaching;
