Role overview
This role centers on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. Assignments involve developing and refining complex optical and physics problems that challenge AI models and reflect real-world research scenarios.
What you will do
- Create original optical problems modeled after authentic physics research workflows.
- Design scenarios that require substantial computational effort, beyond what manual solutions can achieve in days or weeks.
- Develop problems involving advanced reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
- Base challenges on actual research obstacles or practical issues in optics and physics.
- Write clear, precise problem statements and provide carefully checked solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied work, research, or teaching.
- Experience with numerical simulation methods.
- Ability to design problems that mirror genuine research workflows in physics.
- Creative approach to problem design across multiple physics domains.
- Familiarity with modeling and approximation techniques in physics.
- Strong written English skills at C1 level or above.
Project commitment
Active project phases typically require 10–20 hours per week. Actual workload may vary and is not guaranteed, depending on project needs.
Compensation
Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on expertise and pace. Rates may vary by project based on complexity, scope, and required skills. Other projects on the platform may offer different compensation depending on their specific requirements.
