About the Role
toloka-ai, in partnership with Mindrift, connects skilled professionals to project-based AI work for leading technology companies. This position supports the testing, evaluation, and improvement of AI systems. Please note: this is a project-based, freelance role and not a permanent position.
What You Will Do
- Create original optics problems modeled on real-world physics research workflows
- Design computationally challenging problems that require more than manual calculation (days or weeks of work)
- Develop problems involving complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
- Base problems on actual research challenges or practical applications in optics and physics
- Document problem statements clearly and provide verified solutions
Who We're Looking For
- Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a closely related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied physics, research, or teaching
- Experience with numerical simulation methods
- Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research
- Creative problem-solving skills across multiple physics areas
- Understanding of physics modeling and approximation techniques
- Written English proficiency at C1 level or above
