About the job

We invite you to submit your CV in English, along with your level of English proficiency.

Mindrift specializes in connecting experts with project-based AI roles for top tech companies, emphasizing the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. This is a project-based opportunity, not a permanent position.

Opportunity Overview

Each project presents unique tasks, where contributors may:

  • Design innovative computational physics problems that reflect genuine physics research processes;
  • Formulate problems necessitating Python programming for solutions (utilizing Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
  • Ensure challenges are computationally demanding and cannot be manually resolved within reasonable timeframes (days/weeks);
  • Develop problems that require complex reasoning chains in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
  • Base challenges on authentic research obstacles or practical applications in the field of physics;
  • Validate solutions using Python alongside standard physics simulation libraries;
  • Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct solutions.

Desired Qualifications

This position is ideal for quantum researchers proficient in Python, seeking part-time, non-permanent project opportunities. Candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or any programming language is also acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, which may include applied, research, or teaching roles;
  • Experience with numerical simulation techniques;
  • The ability to create problems that reflect actual physics research workflows;
  • Innovative thinking in problem design across various physics disciplines;
  • A strong understanding of physics modeling and approximation methods;
  • Exceptional written English skills (C1+ level).

Project Commitment

For this role, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, based on specific project needs. This is an estimation, not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $76 per hour, based on their contributions and level of expertise. Compensation may vary across different projects depending on scope, complexity, and required skills. Please note that other projects on the platform could offer different earning potentials based on their specific requirements.
