This freelance position connects specialists with AI projects for leading technology companies. The work is remote and based in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is not a long-term employment role; instead, it focuses on short-term, targeted contributions to specific AI initiatives.
Role overview
This role centers on creating and evaluating realistic supply chain disruption scenarios, drawing on practical experience in manufacturing and procurement. Tasks include outlining possible disruptions such as supplier delays, order changes, logistics challenges, or quality failures. For each scenario, you will define expected outcomes and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Another key part of the job involves assessing AI-generated responses. You will check these outputs for accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance to real business situations, especially within ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Coupa, Jaggaer, and Ariba (SAP). Structured data creation and validation are also part of the responsibilities, following detailed guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing (preferably in manufacturing)
- Strong knowledge of procurement workflows: purchase orders, vendor management, inventory control, and production planning
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Ability to design and justify disruption scenarios and mitigation strategies
- Understanding of disruption types: delays, shortages, quality issues, and logistics challenges
- Familiarity with Incoterms and logistics management
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and production planning methods
- Experience with supplier performance metrics (On-Time In-Full, lead times, quality scores)
- Analytical skills to evaluate AI outputs against business logic
- Background in data validation, structured data entry, or annotation
- Clear written communication in English
