Role overview

The Freelance Supply Chain Consultant - AI Trainer applies procurement and supply chain expertise to shape realistic disruption scenarios, define expected outcomes and mitigation steps, and review AI-generated recommendations for accuracy and business fit. This work helps improve the quality and relevance of AI systems used in manufacturing and procurement.

What you will do

  • Design scenarios that reflect real-world supply chain disruptions, such as supplier delays, quantity changes, logistics issues, or quality failures.
  • Outline expected results and effective mitigation strategies for each scenario.
  • Assess AI-generated responses for business logic, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Review outputs within ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Coupa, Jaggaer, and Ariba (SAP).
  • Support the creation and validation of structured data by following set guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement workflows, including purchase orders, vendor management, inventory, and production planning.
  • Direct experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Ability to design and analyze supply chain disruption scenarios and mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of disruption types: delays, shortages, quality issues, and logistics challenges.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and logistics or transportation management.
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and production planning processes.
  • Experience tracking supplier performance metrics (OTIF, lead times, quality scores).
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating AI outputs against business logic.
  • Background in data validation, structured data entry, or annotation tasks.
  • Excellent written English communication skills.
