Mission:
Your mission is to revolutionize Nextcloud Office into a cutting-edge, high-performance web productivity suite, transcending conventional DOM-driven applications. As the guardian of the product's aesthetics, you will ensure that even the most intricate documents and spreadsheets maintain exceptional speed, fluidity, and responsiveness, even under heavy usage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative frontend functionalities, including advanced charting, conditional formatting, and engaging interactive document elements.
- Create fast and responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Ensure a seamless 60fps experience across all user interactions, such as scrolling, typing, and zooming.
- Transition performance-critical rendering logic from the DOM to Canvas or other hardware-accelerated technologies.
- Modernize legacy styles into a performance-optimized CSS system utilizing variables, supporting dark mode and high-contrast themes.
- Implement responsive UI patterns like optimistic UI to enhance perceived performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize latency and enhance real-time user experiences.
- Utilize AI tools to expedite development while concentrating on performance, edge cases, and UI quality.
