Ability to work autonomously, with proficiency in inserting 5 or more peripheral IVs per shift. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. Current BLS CPR certification required.

This full-time Infusion Nurse (RN) role is based in Sterling, VA. The position centers on providing direct patient care in a clinic setting, with a focus on maintaining high standards for infusion therapy. Nurses in this role benefit from predictable hours, autonomy in clinical decision-making, and a manageable patient-to-clinician ratio of 3:1.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and document each patient’s health status before and during infusions.
  • Administer infusions and injections following established protocols and organizational standards.
  • Monitor and supervise patients throughout their onsite visits to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Communicate with referring and prescribing providers regarding patient care and treatment plans.
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain medical supplies within the clinic.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Virginia, with willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.
  • Experience in outpatient infusion therapy, including managing multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and start at least five peripheral IVs per shift.
  • Current BLS CPR certification (required).
  • ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred).
