The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in positions such as Equity Researcher, Senior Sector Specialist, or Research Associate within an investment or asset management organization. Expertise in Software subsectors—including Application Software, Vertical Software, Payroll, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure—is essential. You should have a proven track record of generating actionable long and short investment ideas across multiple time horizons, and conducting comprehensive bottom-up equity research on both private and public companies. Key qualifications include: creating and maintaining single stock models, conducting financial statement analyses, and performing primary diligence through surveys and channel checks. Familiarity with incorporating alternative data sets such as web traffic, sentiment analysis, and credit card spending will be highly advantageous.

You will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of companies and stocks within your coverage. Utilizing a diverse range of analytical methodologies, including financial modeling, channel checks, alternative data, and corporate access, you will enhance trading strategies through the formulation of sophisticated mathematical and simulation models.

Your role will involve employing advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, machine learning, and financial modeling to refine investment strategies across various asset classes. You will also perform validation and testing of trading simulations and critical applications, while automating daily data processing using Shell and Python.

As part of your responsibilities, you will analyze existing strategy behaviors and propose enhancements through KDB/Q and Python, as well as Excel/VBA models to track specific asset classes' market history in order to evaluate profit potentials and risk margins.
