Role Overview

The General Manager for Consumer Games leads Arkadium's consumer games division, reporting directly to the CEO. This role carries full P&L responsibility and sets the strategic direction for the games portfolio, platform growth, and both organic and inorganic expansion. The position involves hands-on leadership, working closely with teams to maintain high standards in game development, distribution, monetization, and execution.

What You Will Do

  • P&L & Commercial Strategy: Own all revenue streams for consumer games, including ads, subscriptions, in-game purchases, and distribution partnerships.
  • Portfolio & Game Development: Shape the lineup of games, overseeing development, licensing, and retirement for first-party, second-party, and third-party titles.
  • Platform & Product: Guide the product roadmap for arkadium.com, focusing on engagement, retention, monetization, and user experience.
  • New Platforms: Lead efforts to explore distribution on mobile apps, Instant Games, and other emerging channels.
  • Inorganic Growth: Drive acquisition strategies, including studio partnerships, IP deals, and catalog acquisitions.
  • Team Development: Mentor and lead senior staff across Games, Platform, Creative, and Analytics.

What We Seek

  • Experience as a VP, GM, or Head of Studio with direct P&L responsibility in consumer games.
  • Track record of launching games that retain players and deliver revenue, especially in casual and mid-core genres.
  • Background in managing a consumer-facing web platform or gaming site.
  • Deep understanding of ad-monetized business models and a player-first mindset in product development.
  • Skilled at leading multidisciplinary teams across design, product, creative, and analytics.
  • A clear perspective on what makes a great gaming experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web casual games for audiences aged 35 and older.
  • History of expanding platforms to mobile, social, or new distribution channels.
  • Ability to design experiences that appeal to players who value innovation and enjoyment.
