Role Overview
We are excited to announce that we are seeking our inaugural General Manager of Market Research at Terac. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire market research vertical, from initial customer engagement to deal closure and project execution. You will help craft the strategic playbook, build your team, and shape Terac’s competitive edge in a vast and traditional industry. Collaborating directly with our CEO, you will be instrumental in scaling our operations. The ideal candidate is a results-driven strategist with industry expertise, eager to embark on a career-defining journey at a rapidly growing startup.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage the complete market research sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, discovery calls, deal closures, and ensuring client satisfaction post-sale.
Act as the primary representative of Terac to our market research clientele.
Develop and lead the post-sales market research team, hiring project managers, research consultants, and panel operations specialists as demand increases.
Recruit, train, and inspire your team, setting high standards and ensuring everyone meets them.
Your Profile:
Extensive domain knowledge in market research, consumer insights, or related fields.
Demonstrated success in selling and closing complex deals with enterprise clients.
Experience in building and leading a services or delivery team, with a proven track record in hiring, onboarding, and accountability.
Outstanding communication abilities.
Position Details:
Our team operates in-person six days a week in our San Francisco office.
Compensation: Competitive salary, meaningful equity vested over four years, $10,000 relocation bonus (for relocating to the Bay Area), and an additional $5,000 housing bonus (if you move within 0.5 miles of our office).
