Internship Overview
We invite enthusiastic students to apply for our Government Affairs Internship within our Government Relations Team. This role provides invaluable, hands-on experience in policy research, legislative tracking, and strategic analysis. Interns will collaborate with seasoned professionals to gain insights into the influence of public policy on engineering, infrastructure, and community development. Responsibilities include conducting research on federal, state, and local policies regarding infrastructure and development, monitoring legislative activities, summarizing key policy trends, assisting in the preparation of policy briefs and reports for leadership, and supporting the lobbying disclosure process and stakeholder communications. Additionally, interns will partake in meetings with policymakers and internal leaders while helping organize training sessions and follow-up activities.
We are looking for a student intern available to start in May or June, working 30 hours per week during the summer, with the potential for continued engagement into the academic year.
This internship opportunity is available in our Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE, or Springfield, MO offices.
