Elmhurst University is excited to invite applications for a graduate assistantship within our esteemed Football program for the academic years 2026-2027, with the possibility of renewal for 2027-2028. This position is designed for students pursuing a graduate degree. Prospective candidates must apply for admission into a degree-granting graduate program at elmhurst.edu/graduatestudies and secure acceptance prior to being eligible for this graduate assistant role.

The graduate assistantship at Elmhurst University includes a full tuition waiver in exchange for 20 hours of service each week. Additionally, graduate assistants receive a bi-weekly stipend to support their educational pursuits. Participation in the assistantship is expected during the Fall and Spring terms, and may also include responsibilities in January and/or during the Summer.

Eligible Graduate Programs: Master of Business Administration, M. A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Weekly Hours: 20 hours

Tuition Waiver: Full

Stipend: $5,625 per academic year ($625 per month from September to May).

Terms: Fall 2026, January 2027, and Spring 2027; renewable for the 2027-2028 academic year.

Assistantship Responsibilities

Assists the Head Coach with the organization, planning, and evaluation of all aspects of a competitive intercollegiate football program. The assistant must understand the significance of NCAA and Division III athletics in the educational context and contribute to the recruitment of student-athletes who embody and reflect the values of Elmhurst University.

Important Notes

Offers for this position are contingent upon admission to the aforementioned graduate programs at Elmhurst University. Graduate students are required to maintain full-time enrollment in their graduate program to retain the assistantship. Additionally, graduate assistants within the athletic department are expected to exhibit a strong commitment to comply with all regulations and rules set by Elmhurst University, the CCIW, and the NCAA. Cooperation and accurate reporting of any knowledge regarding rules violations are mandatory. Violations of NCAA regulations may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination.
