About the job
As the Head Chef at this location, you will step into a spacious, modern kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, collaborating with a friendly team of D&B colleagues. Forget about long, chaotic workdays; here, you know exactly what to expect: daytime cooking, evenings at home, and weekends off.
You will prepare daily (hot) lunches for approximately 300 guests, and together with your team, you will be involved in a variety of catering requests. As the Head Chef, you have the freedom to create your dishes without a rigid menu or recipes to follow blindly. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to menu planning, innovate with seasonal ingredients, and cook with flavor and passion. Whether it’s a delightful rendang, a sandwich inspired by Ottolenghi, or a simple dish of your choice, the creative freedom is yours.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily Preparation: Preparing fresh, flavorful, and healthy lunches for our guests.
- Menu Development: Designing creative and seasonal menus that cater to our diverse clientele.
- Catering & Events: Providing custom catering for meetings, receptions, and events.
- Purchasing & Inventory Management: Optimizing orders, managing costs, and minimizing waste.
- Administration & Budgeting: Monitoring KPIs to ensure the food court operates financially sound.
