As the Head of Enterprise Data Platforms, you will spearhead the strategic design, development, and governance of the bank's enterprise data ecosystems. Your leadership will be essential in establishing a robust, scalable, and secure data architecture that facilitates data-driven decision-making and supports advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and innovative initiatives. This role is crucial in driving the bank's digital transformation, delivering real-time insights, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across all business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement the enterprise data platform strategy, aligning closely with the bank’s digital and AI objectives.
- Lead the creation of a modern, cloud-based data architecture, including data lakehouses and data fabrics.
- Drive the simplification of the data estate by phasing out outdated and non-scalable platforms and tools.
- Oversee the integration of diverse structured and unstructured data sources across the organization.
- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of data platforms.
- Establish and maintain data governance and management practices in collaboration with the Data Governance unit.
- Work alongside data science, analytics, and business operations teams to promote self-service data access and advanced analytical capabilities.
- Champion the adoption of DevOps and DataOps methodologies for enhanced automation and continuous delivery.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and assess emerging technologies for platform improvements.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team comprising data engineers, architects, and platform specialists.
- Oversee the data platform budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Report on platform performance, usage metrics, and value delivery to executive leadership.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data function.
- Represent the bank at industry forums and contribute to thought leadership in data platform strategy.
