Job Title: Head of People & Culture Operations (1-Year FTC – Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our award-winning People & Culture team at The Savoy, one of London’s most prestigious luxury hotels. This one-year fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave, is ideal for a dynamic People & Culture professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and consistently delivers outstanding service to our colleagues and leaders.
As the Head of People & Culture Operations, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations to manage sensitive matters with fairness and consistency. Your organizational skills and results-oriented approach will enable you to prioritize competing demands and collaborate effectively with senior leaders to implement people-first solutions.
Experience in the luxury hospitality sector or service-oriented environments is highly desirable, alongside a natural talent for building credibility and nurturing relationships at all levels. You will blend decisiveness with empathy and integrity, fostering a positive workplace culture while upholding high performance standards.
Your Mission:
To lead the operational components of our People & Culture function, enhancing colleague experiences, supporting leaders with people-related issues, facilitating the delivery of core People & Culture services, and promoting colleague engagement to minimize voluntary turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the People & Culture Advisor and Assistant to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Leadership Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and line managers, offering practical guidance on various people matters.
- Employee Relations: Oversee employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal standards and alignment with company values.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with leaders to identify operational challenges and workforce needs, ensuring People & Culture practices support departmental objectives.
