Position Highlights:

  • Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST; based in Jersey City, NJ

Your Responsibilities:

  • Process requests for patient health information in line with company and facility policies.
  • Uphold confidentiality and security standards for all privileged information.
  • Maintain proficiency in company and facility software systems.
  • Adhere to the company's and customer facilities' Code of Conduct and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding work challenges and volume fluctuations.
  • Support additional duties as necessary.
  • Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
  • Manage and safeguard patient health records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Prepare new patient charts by collecting documents from both paper and electronic sources.
  • Ensure that medical records are complete, accurate, and assembled in accordance with standard protocols.
  • Create digital images of records to be stored in electronic medical systems.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for patient records efficiently.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.
