Your Role

In the capacity of a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner, you will be instrumental in fostering a safe and supportive workplace for our employees. Collaborating within our Customers and Corporate team, your efforts will contribute to delivering An Electric Britain by embedding health, safety, and wellbeing into the core of our operations.

Utilizing your knowledge of essential UK Health & Safety laws, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated regulations, you will guide our leaders in fulfilling their legal responsibilities while promoting a robust safety culture.

This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility to work from home while attending our London office as needed.

By working with leaders and teams, you will identify potential risks, implement enhancements, and disseminate best practices. You will ensure that our colleagues return home safe and sound, both physically and mentally.

Your Profile

We seek an individual who merges technical knowledge with a compassionate approach. To be considered, you should possess:
Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing frameworks, systems, and legislation, with practical experience in applying UK H&S regulations and statutory requirements.

  • Proficiency in electrical safety, gas safety, COSHH, CDM, RAMS, and occupational health
  • Experience in offering advice and support within a similar context
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • Capability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety (or actively pursuing)
  • Membership with IOSH (or actively pursuing)
  • NEBOSH or IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across Customers and Corporate
  • Advising leaders on compliance and best practices
  • Overseeing policy management, process development, and investigations
  • Leveraging data and insights to foster continuous improvement
  • Cultivating strong relationships with colleagues and trade unions
