We are looking for a talented Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will safely and effectively operate various heavy machinery within our sawmill operations. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with equipment, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.

  • Load and unload materials with care, ensuring proper handling and storage.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while operating equipment.

  • Assist with site preparation, grading, and material movement as necessary.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any mechanical issues or safety hazards.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid equipment operator certification (OSHA or equivalent preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery in industrial or construction environments.

  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in demanding conditions.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
