Required ExperienceValid Tennessee teaching license or proof of enrollment in a job-embedded Educator Preparation Program. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Proven success in teaching students from educationally underserved backgrounds (highly preferred). At least two years of teaching experience (preferred). As a key member of our educational community, your daily responsibilities will encompass:

Curriculum Development and Instruction

  • Design and implement engaging instructional strategies, learning activities, and materials tailored to diverse student learning styles and needs.

  • Utilize progress-monitoring tools to assess student performance, adapting instructional strategies accordingly.

  • Leverage data to guide instructional choices and enhance student outcomes.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic and character development, while planning for individualized learning experiences.

  • Exhibit solid pedagogical practices to foster a love for learning.

Commitment to School and Classroom Culture

  • Collaborate effectively with your school team and across KIPP Nashville to build a supportive learning environment.

  • Contribute to cultivating a school-wide culture that meets the needs of students, educators, and families.

  • Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings, fostering open communication.

  • Build positive relationships with students to create a nurturing educational atmosphere.

  • Establish and maintain a calm, positive learning environment that upholds school values and policies.

Family Engagement

  • Develop strong communication channels with parents, providing updates on student progress.
