About The Role

As the Installation Manager for HVAC systems in Redwood City, CA, you will be pivotal in developing and expanding our heat pump and heat pump water heater installation team. Collaborating closely with the CEO and the HVAC Project Manager, your focus will be on building a high-performing team, promoting accountability, enhancing communication, and driving efficiency and profitability improvements. Your leadership will help nurture a dynamic and passionate department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help structure the installation team, including organizing truck templates, managing inventory, hiring team members, and developing pricing strategies.

  • Leverage data from various sources such as invoices, timecards, KPI reports, and job performance metrics to provide insightful feedback.

  • Mentor technicians to facilitate both their professional and personal development.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions to support individual growth.

  • Lead training initiatives and organize technician ride-alongs for hands-on learning.

  • Collaborate with sales and the HVAC Project Manager to optimize business outcomes.

  • Address and resolve customer issues that require managerial intervention.

  • Assist with service calls as necessary to support the installation team.

  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, motivating technicians to excel daily.
