Position Overview:
Woolpert is on the lookout for Maritime Hydrographic Survey Interns to join our vibrant Geospatial teams at various office locations including Houston TX, Charleston SC, Port Orchard WA, Wasilla AK, and San Rafael CA. Reporting directly to the Geospatial Team Leader, you will play a vital role in assisting our teams with Surveying and Data Processing. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
Please note, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position; applicants must possess work authorization in the country where the position is located.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in the acquisition and processing of hydrographic and geophysical data supporting government and private sector clients for services such as nautical charting, dredging, marine construction, cable route mapping, pipeline inspection, and more.
- Engage in data quality checks and preliminary analysis.
- Learn and apply various hydrographic software tools and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data management strategies.
- Support the team in ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
