Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the complete lifecycle of component procurement, from initial vendor selection through to delivery and installation. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to define sourcing strategies, develop supplier roadmaps, conduct market analysis, and perform design and cost trade-off analyses, ensuring quality, pricing, and delivery standards are consistently met. Manage all indirect purchasing at Astranis, including software, machinery, employee benefits, etc. Analyze current expenditures and evaluate existing suppliers, consolidating spend across the supply base to create leverage and identifying new high-potential suppliers. Take ownership of RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, ensuring all commercial terms are accurately documented and agreed upon. Negotiate NDAs, SOWs, and Master Purchase Agreements prior to initiating business. Guide the final supplier selection process and perform value analysis for optimal supplier choices. Address all aspects of category management, including developing category business plans, conducting global market and pricing analysis, and providing procurement support. Monitor market conditions and technology roadmaps in current categories, identifying supply and demand challenges and opportunities. Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that align with business objectives and foster sustainable relationships with suppliers.
