Your role will involve designing material flow processes and storage systems to ensure efficient delivery of materials to factory and sub-assembly lines for electric vehicle components. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Packaging, Logistics Operations, and EH&S during launches to establish material flow systems, identify continuous improvement opportunities, conduct dock utilization analysis, support dynamic simulations, and maintain PFEP data.
You will also calculate storage space requirements, design material delivery routes, report KPI data weekly, develop business cases for Material Flow installations, and contribute to internal documentation, standards, and training modules. Additionally, you will create requirements for material flow equipment like fork trucks and tuggers, design station layouts for operations, and optimize logistics and display equipment in the assembly plant.
Experience with the installation of material handling equipment like rack indexers and conveyors is desired. You will also be involved in new launch projects focusing on material flow from warehouse to production lines and setting up new part numbers and engineering changes.
