Ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of export quoting processes and a proactive approach to securing new business opportunities.
Starting Salary: Up to £28K
Job Purpose:
To develop and maintain sales activities and quotations while effectively representing the client's diverse product offerings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee existing SME accounts in the Northern Region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Generate and source rate quotations for both new and existing customers daily, collaborating with the operations team to maximize profitability.
- Follow up on sales leads and quotes from the previous week, arranging appointments for the Commercial/Managing Directors as necessary. Take initiative to grow existing accounts and identify new opportunities.
- Foster strong relationships with business managers to effectively support and develop customer accounts.
- Ensure clients are fully informed of trading terms, conditions, and billing expectations.
- Regularly meet with Operational Managers to assess sales and service delivery, ensuring smooth account management and onboarding of new clients.
- Seek opportunities to enhance margins in line with company focus areas and market trends.
- Review Seko accounts to ensure charges align with market standards and company guidelines.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, partners, and colleagues, remaining open to mutually beneficial business approaches.
- Identify and understand customer needs, providing efficient and friendly assistance to foster new business.
- Apply knowledge of business principles, finance, and profitability to contribute positively to Seko Logistics' performance.
- Complete a minimum of 600 outgoing quotes annually and manage new business opportunities through Seko Vision, submitting monthly reports to the team.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations and sales teams.
