About the Role
As we accelerate our international growth, Anthropic is addressing the complex challenges of data residency, sovereign AI expectations, and product localization. In the role of International Readiness Lead, you will spearhead the multi-disciplinary efforts essential for ensuring that Claude is deployable, compliant, and commercially viable across Anthropic’s key markets, encompassing compute infrastructure, data residency, product localization, and frameworks for sovereign deployment.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on Anthropic’s international compute strategy alongside technical compute, security, and finance teams, focusing on cloud capacity, regional deployment models, and transitioning from third-party to first-party infrastructure in priority markets.
- Establish a framework for assessing and prioritizing data residency and sovereign deployment requests, balancing commercial potential, regulatory obligations, geopolitical risks, and mission coherence.
- Document international customer requirements for product localization, including language, compliance, data handling, and integrations, and facilitate their prioritization with Product and Engineering teams.
- Convert infrastructure and product capabilities into compelling commercial propositions, working with Sales and Marketing to ensure that international enterprise and government clients understand Anthropic’s offerings and timelines.
- Act as the internal expert on international readiness requirements, providing guidance on deals, partnerships, and policy matters as they emerge.
- Create scalable processes for capturing, prioritizing, and addressing international product feedback to ensure it is integrated into HQ product cycles.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for Anthropic’s mission-driven international initiatives, including responsible AI deployment in democratic allied nations and expanding access in Global South markets.
- Collaborate with Policy, Beneficial Deployments, and Global Affairs to ensure mission programs are grounded in a robust commercial and infrastructure foundation, beyond just policy considerations.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape for sovereign AI and national AI programs.
