Graduated or soon to graduate from an engineering school, business school, or university, you possess a solid background and/or a keen interest in technological and cybersecurity challenges. We are primarily looking for curious, structured profiles with strong analytical skills, capable of addressing complex issues and communicating effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

About the job

Context

Wavestone's cybersecurity practice supports clients in implementing their digital identity transformation projects. Identity is a fundamental pillar of cyber prevention and a key element in executing a successful Zero Trust strategy. Our projects encompass various aspects of digital identity, particularly access control.
We engage in diverse activities such as auditing existing solutions, framing future projects, and providing expert guidance on specialized subjects related to access control.
The technological scope of our support includes topics ranging from authentication to authorization and permissions. We also address the security of our clients' API infrastructures.
Given the ever-evolving nature of access control, Wavestone emphasizes technological monitoring to continually deliver exceptional value to our clients. For instance, we are currently deepening our knowledge and expertise in areas such as passwordless authentication, particularly with FIDO (device-based secure authentication standard) and passkeys (device-linked digital keys), Risk-Based Authentication (RBA), and continuous access evaluation, alongside various drafts aimed at evolving OAuth and OIDC authorization protocols.

Objective

The goal of this internship is to enhance Wavestone's knowledge and expertise in access control, which involves developing new competencies and mastering emerging technologies.

Tasks
Under the guidance of a consultant and managed by a supervisor, the intern will have the opportunity to perform part or all of the following tasks:

• Create Proofs of Concept (PoCs) or prototypes of access control solutions or technologies (testing prototypes to verify the functionality of access management tools)
• Audit access control solutions or architectures (analyzing security and proper functioning of access management systems)
• Study and analyze new market standards or technologies
• Define technical architectures for access control solutions
• Benchmark technological mechanisms or market solutions

The exact title and scope of the internship project will be confirmed at a later stage.
