The Team
Our Tokyo office is part of Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is focused on fortifying our offshore engineering capabilities. We leverage development centers in Vietnam and India, creating a global delivery framework that emphasizes both quality and cost-effectiveness.
Your Role
As a Japanese Speaking Project Manager, you will oversee intricate project requirements, facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery excellence. Your responsibilities will include gathering customer requirements, crafting execution plans, and defining development tasks, along with occasional travel to Japan for client and stakeholder engagements.
What You Will Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in software development project management, with a minimum of 2 years working with Japanese clients.
- Expertise in software development project management; Agile methodology experience is essential.
- Strong ability to apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities effectively.
- Fundamental understanding of data pipelines and analytics.
- A willingness to learn about the hospitality domain.
- PMP certification is a plus.
Language Skills
- Japanese: Native or business level proficiency.
- English: Business level proficiency for interactions and documentation with international teams.
- Vietnamese: Business level proficiency for communication and negotiation with the local software engineering team.
