Our flagship technology supports the ATARS product, which provides pilots with the ability to simulate the cognitive complexities of flying, all while offering realistic and scalable training within dynamic outdoor environments.Position OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead the development of manufacturing processes and ensure production readiness for complex aerospace products designed in-house. This pivotal role involves collaboration with both internal production teams and contract manufacturers (CMs), guaranteeing that our products adhere to rigorous DOD, aerospace, and industry standards (J-STD/IPC) for manufacturability, quality, traceability, and performance.This hands-on leadership position demands extensive experience with intricate assemblies, including PCBAs, harnesses, precision mechanical components, and system-level integration.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Development & Production ReadinessDesign and implement manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical assemblies.Conduct DFM/DFA reviews with the Engineering team during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.Generate and maintain comprehensive build documentation, including drawings, work instructions, routers, BOMs, and ECO implementations.Establish efficient manufacturing flows for PCBAs, subassemblies, cable/harness assemblies, and system integration.Provide support for leaded solder processes as needed.Contract Manufacturer (CM) ManagementAct as the technical manufacturing liaison to CMs.Facilitate the implementation of blended AML, combining Red 6-sourced custom parts with CM-procured materials.Oversee CM development of assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and test rack duplication.Perform on-site audits and production readiness reviews.Travel to CM facilities to support builds, process validation, and yield enhancement.
