About the Position
Civic Marketplace is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Account Manager to cultivate, oversee, and enhance relationships with our suppliers. In this critical role, you will be pivotal in ensuring our suppliers achieve success on our platform, helping them secure business opportunities, increase their visibility, and broaden their reach among public sector buyers.
This position is both strategic and execution-focused. You will serve as a trusted advisor to suppliers, providing guidance on positioning, responding to opportunities, and optimizing their return on investment from Civic Marketplace. You will also play a direct role in driving revenue growth through renewals, expansions, and upsells.
You will operate at the nexus of marketplace dynamics, customer success, and revenue generation, playing an essential role in scaling the supplier ecosystem within Civic Marketplace.
Your Responsibilities
Champion Supplier Success & Revenue Retention
Ensure suppliers realize tangible ROI through pipeline development and successful contract acquisitions.
Take ownership of supplier retention (Gross Revenue Retention) and expansion (Net Revenue Retention), with a focus on revenue growth.
Develop and Manage Supplier Relationships
Act as the primary liaison for suppliers on Civic Marketplace.
Establish robust, trust-based relationships with founders, sales leaders, and go-to-market teams.
Guide suppliers in effectively positioning their offerings for public sector clientele.
Enhance Supplier Performance on the Platform
Assist suppliers in optimizing their profiles, offerings, and responsiveness.
Advise on best practices for RFQs, inclusion on shortlists, and cooperative contract positioning.
Proactively identify strategies to boost supplier visibility and success rates.
Conduct Strategic Reviews and Provide Insights
Conduct routine business reviews with suppliers to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
Deliver data-driven insights regarding buyer behavior, demand trends, and procurement patterns.
Align supplier strategies with the evolving product offerings and marketplace dynamics of Civic Marketplace.
Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with Customer Success, Product, and Partnerships teams to enhance the supplier experience.
Provide supplier insights to inform product development (e.g., onboarding, search, RFQ processes).
