Role Overview
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Accountant to join our vibrant team at Zego. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the precision, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. You will engage with key stakeholders across various departments to provide valuable financial analysis, converting complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the posting of monthly journal entries in various currencies, including intercompany recharges and payroll entries within NetSuite.
- Conduct multi-currency bank reconciliations for both Client Accounts and Operational Accounts.
- Assist the finance team in the preparation of monthly accounts, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Prepare reconciliations related to insurance, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) ledgers.
- Support client money calculations while adhering to FCA CASS 5 regulations, focusing on the safeguarding of client funds.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting on client money positions and insurer balances.
- Contribute to the creation of monthly finance reporting packs and annual statutory accounts.
- Collaborate with other departments to address any ad-hoc finance inquiries.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations as well as annual audit and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Resolve queries related to bank receipts and payments, preparing payment runs across multiple providers and currencies.
Qualifications for Success
- Partially or fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Demonstrable experience in accounting, particularly within the insurance sector.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and excel in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
