As an Accounting Analyst at Honeycomb, you will play a pivotal role in our Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Your primary responsibilities will include executing complex accounting tasks, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions while ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Timely and accurate completion of financial activities, such as monthly and annual closings.
- Performing complex accounting activities (consolidation, report preparation, journal entries, and audits).
- Analyzing internal monthly financial reports and financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conducting financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, performance improvement strategies, and financial risk areas.
- Collaborating closely with operational unit partners to understand their business, assist them in comprehending their financial indicators, and challenge their assumptions.
- Maintaining a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, including corporate law, GST, QST, HST, and other tax obligations.
- Participating in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce the turnaround time for financial information.
