Role Overview
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Intern to join our Global Shared Services team in Milan. This exciting role is perfect for individuals eager to gain practical experience in a vibrant, international finance environment.
As an AP Intern, you will assist the Accounts Payable team with day-to-day operations across various global entities. You will gain invaluable exposure to critical accounts payable and vendor accounting processes, contributing to the efficient functioning of our global finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing of vendor invoices and credit notes
- Verify invoice accuracy and ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Support vendor account reconciliations
- Help prepare payments
- Coordinate with the Vendor Master Data team for vendor data maintenance and updates
- Assist in month-end closing activities
- Manage supplier inquiries under supervision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless accounts payable operations
- Support the AP team with various administrative and accounting tasks
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- No prior work experience is required (internship in accounting is a plus)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Familiarity with the Office suite, especially Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills
- A strong team player
- Problem-solving capabilities
