In the role of Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the accuracy and promptness of Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders for swift issue resolution. You will also coordinate audits related to procure-to-pay processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Your expertise will be crucial in providing timely processing and insightful reporting to senior management, enabling informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Accounts Payable team to achieve exceptional performance, cultivating an engaging and dynamic team environment. Recruit top talent, create effective training programs, and promote accountability to meet ambitious goals.
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations, collaborating with Procurement, Corporate, Plant teams, vendors, and banking partners to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Keep senior management updated on any potential challenges.
- Coordinate payment runs and bank interfaces to ensure proper fund disbursement. Conduct reconciliations and variance analyses for Goods Received Not Invoiced to address issues promptly and support month-end closings and reporting.
- Manage vendor setup processes to ensure correct terms, remittance details, and tax classifications. Implement necessary adjustments for accurate sales tax reporting.
- Analyze transaction volumes to identify process improvement opportunities and prepare performance tracking reports for the team and department.
- Lead new business processes or software implementations to optimize efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and process flows to strengthen internal controls and standardize departmental operations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing comprehensive workpapers and timely responses to inquiries, demonstrating ownership of relevant samples.
- Evaluate existing processes to enhance controls, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Foster strong team dynamics through improved engagement, collaboration, and communication.
- Oversee team performance and development, conducting interviews, hiring, and providing ongoing support.
