Chartpak, Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled instructor for watercolor, acrylic painting, and drawing classes at the Michaels store in Orlando. This part-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity for artists looking to share their talent without needing their own studio.
Our ideal candidates will possess:
- Strong skills in realistic painting and/or drawing techniques.
- The ability to effectively teach realistic acrylic painting, watercolor, and drawing classes.
- Motivation to market their own classes and build a dedicated student base.
Compensation:
Instructors will receive an hourly wage plus additional compensation based on class attendance:
- Free Basics: MAKE A Project Classes - Scheduled up to once a month, with an hourly rate plus $3 per student.
- Advanced Classes - Acrylic Painting, Watercolor, and Drawing Classes:
- Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students or fewer.
- Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 or more students.
*Class schedules are determined collaboratively between the instructor and Michaels store management.
Class Duration: Each class lasts two hours, aiming for students to complete a painting or drawing by the end.
Certification: All Grumbacher art instructors must become certified through Grumbacher to teach at Michaels.
