Northwestern Medicine is thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to step into the role of APP Manager specializing in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cell Therapy. This position provides dedicated clinical time to support our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the stem cell transplant department.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, during daytime hours.
The Manager of Advanced Practice Providers embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adhering to our Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
This managerial role involves providing both administrative and clinical leadership to a team of APPs within the designated unit, fostering an environment of excellence in patient care.
The Manager will collaborate with leadership across various departments to formulate plans, metrics, and resource allocation that enhance the department’s clinical care model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Excellence
- Maintain an advanced practice skill set and competency, performing duties as outlined for an APRN/PA.
- Serve as the clinical resource for APP practice issues, ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices and sustaining process improvement initiatives.
- Innovate patient and family-centered care approaches that promote quality, safety, and effectiveness, setting a benchmark for national patient care standards.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Practice Director and Director of Operations to facilitate employee annual goal development, enhancing the patient experience throughout the continuum of care.
- Customer Engagement
- Identify and understand the internal and external customers of the unit or service area and actively seek feedback to improve services.
- Act as a liaison between APP staff and leadership teams at Northwestern Medicine.
- Work closely with practice and physician leadership to promote efficient operations in a rewarding yet challenging environment.
- Consistently model the organization's philosophy of providing exceptional customer service.
- Strategic Leadership
- Translate the organizational vision into actionable objectives for the unit, fostering team engagement in achieving shared goals.
- Attract, develop, and retain outstanding caregivers, providing an environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Facilitate the development of departmental protocols and policies to ensure high standards of care.
