Key Responsibilities
Digitization and Automation
- Proactively identifies strategic opportunities for digitization and automation that yield significant benefits, emphasizing both cost savings and enhancements in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overall operational efficiency.
- Works collaboratively with diverse teams across IT, Operational Technology (OT), Electrical/Instrumentation (E/I), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), as well as operations, maintenance, engineering, and Manufacturing Excellence to implement innovative digitization and automation initiatives.
Advanced Process Control
- Aligns APC objectives with broader corporate goals, devising comprehensive programs and best practices while continuously monitoring KPIs to enhance both APC and economic performance in close collaboration with performance engineers from operations and the controlling team.
- Performs thorough analyses of data from various sources, including process variables, instrumentation metrics, and control systems, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Creates both inferential linear and non-linear models aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, and ultimately reducing costs.
- Conducts pilot studies to evaluate new APC technologies such as machine learning and AI, contributing significantly to yield enhancement.
- Systematically addresses recurring process issues and bottlenecks in complex APC environments to improve process performance while delivering substantial economic gains.
- Serves as a subject matter expert to operational facilities, including Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, through consulting services, informative sessions, and active participation in technical exchanges and conferences.
- Facilitates significant technical sessions such as design reviews, model assessments, and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to established standards and expectations.
