Position Title: Advanced Special Reconnaissance Surface Maritime Instructor
Location: JEB Little Creek/Ft. Story, VA
Clearance Level: Secret
Responsibilities (Include but not limited to)
- Deliver expert-level instruction in advanced special reconnaissance to SEAL Teams (SBTs), focusing on contemporary and future special reconnaissance operations within the Naval Special Warfare surface mobility sector. Collaborate with TRADET-4 to create scheduling frameworks, manage curriculum, and oversee logistical arrangements throughout the Individual Development Training Course (IDTC).
- Provide liaison support with NSWG4 N3 and N8, along with other Special Operations organizations, to identify and incorporate emerging technologies into the SBT IDTC.
- Applicants must have at least five years of experience within the last decade as a Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC), achieving SWCC Senior qualification per COMNAVSPECWARGRUFOURINST 3120.3E. The SWCC Senior qualification must not have been revoked for administrative or disciplinary reasons.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a NAVY/NSW Instructor is required. Instructors will enhance active-duty training teams with their expertise across various functions including combat systems integration, scheduling/planning, classroom instruction, practical field training, final training exercises, troop movements, consumable supply management, and acting as opposing forces (OP4) as needed.
- Two years of experience in NSW Combatant craft signature management and Maritime Special Reconnaissance mission execution is necessary. Familiarity with SIGNATURE MANAGEMENT NTTPs and Combatant Craft specific SOPs is essential. Coordination with departments such as NSWG-4 N2, N32, and N8 is required for the integration and oversight of current and future capabilities to assist in developing new curricula and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). A background in operating RADAR, optics, and intelligence capabilities is mandatory.
