Your Contribution
As an Assistant Teacher, you will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6), helping to cultivate a calm, engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own pace.
In a Montessori setting, both the environment and the teacher work collaboratively to support each child’s development. You will assist in creating beautiful, intentional learning spaces and guide children through individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care.
Your role is pivotal in helping children build self-confidence and discover their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and understand the individual needs of children to effectively support their growth.
- Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized classroom environment.
- Facilitate individual and small-group learning activities.
- Develop warm, respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers and fellow team members to build a strong classroom community.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with children aged 3–6 in an educational or childcare setting.
- A positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Interest in developing skills within the Montessori framework (prior Montessori experience is a plus but not required).
