About Valon
Valon is pioneering an AI-native operating system designed specifically for regulated finance, starting with mortgage servicing. As a Series C company backed by a16z, we are revolutionizing industries that many consider too complex to innovate. Instead of relying on outdated legacy systems, we have developed and operate our own mortgage servicing business, managing over $110 billion in loans. This unique approach has provided us with profound insights into the complexities required to create effective software within regulated sectors.
Our achievements speak volumes; we have successfully transformed mortgage servicing from a 0% margin business into one that boasts margins exceeding 60%, all while significantly enhancing customer experiences. Major enterprise contracts are now being deployed across the industry.
ValonOS is our integrated platform that streamlines every process, making it structured and programmable—perfectly suited for the AI era. With all operations flowing through a single system enriched with data, our AI agents do more than automate tasks; they continuously enhance entire operations. Mortgage servicing is just the beginning of our vision to revolutionize regulated industries and beyond.
About the Role
We are seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to join a dynamic and autonomous team focused on developing internal tools and AI-driven systems that ensure the success of Valon's client deployments.
This role transcends traditional software engineering; you will work at the nexus of product development, engineering, and client delivery, creating whatever is necessary to facilitate smooth deployments. One week, you might establish a project tracking dashboard; the next, you could be integrating AI agents into client workflows or developing administrative tools to empower deployment leads in managing teams and forecasts.
To give you an idea of the pace and scope: we expect you to build a comprehensive deployment management platform—including Kanban boards, Gantt views, milestone tracking, AI-based inbox scanning, and team dashboards—in just six weeks.
